Maris the Chojo - 1986

Maris the Chojo is an 1986 OVA. It's the second volume from the Rumic World OVA franchise. The OVA is a perfect blend of science fiction and comedy. The show is packed full of jokes and cameo appearances from other anime.

This was the 2nd anime I ever bought back in the 90's on VHS (in my vast collection) so it will always hold a special place for me... an absolute CLASSIC!!

The bloopers in the end credits always have me in tears.

Is it just me or were the audio levels on this recording set to incredibly high? Even with my mixer set to low, there's a lot of background hiss.

This is one of the most unique Takahashi creations ever. And moreover, they sure make a big fuss over money! A great treat indeed!

I have this on Laserdisc. I love this OAV. I've even dreamt of dressing up as Maris for Halloween, especially since I'm redheaded too, even though probably no one would know who I'm supposed to be.

I've downloaded it raw with crappy quality some time ago but it seemed really fun. The sequence with that guy pissing himself inside the armour is a killer (doesn't he remember some character by Jack Kirb?). Thank you very much for subbing this one!
